In-Rel’s connection to MTV’s VMA Awards

Even if you’re not a music fan, most everyone has heard about the hi-jinx that played out at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night….

Put all of that aside for a moment and let me tell you about In-Rel Management’s connection to the show.  Running4Cover, a Nashville video production company came to us last summer looking for an economical alternative to the very costly rents of downtown Nashville to relocate their offices.  We were able to oblige and put them into an otherwise almost un-rentable piece of retail real estate on the lower backside of Donelson Plaza.  In what used to be the rough-shod remains of a failed catering business, they built out three very nice quality offices and 3 small audition studios with very little relative expense to the landlord.  They were already a company on the upswing having built their company over the last 10 years, but I’m happy to report they are making a loud noise in a city that is overflowing with media production of all kinds.

Attached are a few stills of the shoot for the MTV VMA awards promo featuring Taylor Swift singing in the back of a NYC taxi while driving through Manhattan in the rain…except she’s really in Nashville in a prop taxi singing to one guy with a big wind fan and a guy with a good garden hose.  This is just one of the many highlights in their professional portfolio.  I think this is also a good example of one of our tenants with some vision who is refusing to participate in an economic recession.
